Mental Health First Aid Courses

At Edge we understand the pressure employers, carers and family members continue to face during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are committed to providing you with knowledge and resources to support those around you in managing mental health.

Our Mental Health First Aid Instructor Dal offers blended online Mental Health First Aid courses, which have been adapted from the Standard Mental Health First Aid course for adults. This will provide you with the full three year accreditation at the completion of the course.

This course is delivered with the option of four themes; workplace, community, tertiary and financial services.

In the course, participants will learn about:

  • The signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in adults
  • How to provide initial help, along with where and how to get professional help
  • The most effective evidence-based assistance
  • How to provide mental health first aid in a crisis situation using a practical, evidence-based action plan.

The mental health first aid skills learnt by participants in this course can be applied in any setting. The course content includes a variety of case-studies, videos and resources tailored to the learning needs of course participants.

Developed in response to COVID-19, the new Blended Online Mental Health First Aid Course comprises of one self-paced interactive eLearning component and an interactive online learning component.
