Year of the Tiger

For the last six months, Eugini has been working at King Tiger Thai Restaurant as a Kitchen Hand, assisting the Head Chef. Eugini is responsible for cooking entrees, serving customers their meals and checking takeaway orders.

Requiring extra support in employment, Eugini reached out to Edge, “I needed extra support in finding employment as I had no confidence or idea of what I wanted to do or could do.”

At Edge, we are proud to see our client’s confidence and skills grow when they are given opportunities in the workplace. Eugini is enjoying her role, “I get great support from my employer as he encourages me to do well and to learn new tasks. John treats me fairly and explains how I can do better if I make a mistake.”

When we asked Eugini’s Manager John about what she was like to work with, he said, “intelligence starts by trying to improve oneself, Eugini has improved in confidence and ability over the last six months.”

Employment has benefited Eugini greatly as it has given her a sense of independence and increased confidence.

Having Edge’s support and working closely with Edge Job Coach Josephine has been very encouraging and supportive for Eugini. “Edge has found me employment; they help me to maintain work and gain a good work ethic. My Job Coach has always made me feel supported and has empowered me to get out of my comfort zone and challenge new tasks.”

The Edge team are looking forward to watching Eugini continue to grow and thrive at work.
