World Down Syndrome Day

On March 21st our staff wore their craziest and mismatched socks to take action to help end stereotypes on World Down Syndrome Day.

This year’s theme was ‘End Stereotypes’ because stereotypes result in people with Down syndrome being treated like children, underestimated and excluded.

It is important to challenge stereotypes that can lead to discrimination and exclusion. By taking actions like wearing crazy socks can help spark conversations, and participating in awareness days helps contribute to a more inclusive society, where everyone is valued for their unique abilities and contributions.
