Name change- Project Employment

To honour Edge’s founding name in our 40th year, we have renamed our successful pilot program Charged Up for Work to Project Employment.

Formed in partnership with Curtin University in 2020, Charged Up for Work assists high school students to prepare for their upcoming transition from school to work. The initial seven week workshops were delivered in Term 1 2021 and have continued every school term since. The goal of the program is to provide students with the necessary skills and tools for future success.

Since its inception, our program for high school aged students with disability has been evaluated by Curtin University’s highly experienced research experts who measured the success of the program and early intervention in the employment journey for young people with disability.

We are proud of the opportunities and growth the program has provided so far for over 300 students with disability in Perth, and the team is thrilled to release our new logo and program name.
