At Edge, we believe in matching our NDIS participants with like-minded NDIS Consultants who can help them grow and have shared interests.

During his final year of school last year, NDIS participant Ben was matched with our Edge NDIS Consultant David. They connected immediately as they shared several common interests including a passion for technology and gaming.

When we asked David to reflect back on the last six months of working with Ben, he responded, “Right away, I knew this young man was going places. Even before he finished school he had a plan, a picture he was trying to paint of how he wanted the rest of his life to look. We sat down and got to work, and Ben took to it like a natural.

We broke Ben’s goals down into bite-size, achievable pieces, and then started chipping away. Ben finished high school and decided to pursue a career in the field of Cyber Security. To facilitate this, Ben got his Certificate III and has enrolled in TAFE for further education in this field. He also won a Scholarship!

Ben remains active with the Curtin University Coding Dojo to further his skill set. In addition to these accomplishments, Ben and I revamped his resume and reviewed his employment goals.

I am proud to share that Ben has secured his first job role at his local IGA where he is well supported, challenged, and learning important skills.”
