Become a Mental Health First Aider
Mental health- the two words on top of everyone’s mind. Whether you or someone you know has mental health concerns, we are realising it can affect anyone at any stage of life. People with mental ill-health are left feeling anxious, stressed, and worried. It impacts their work, relationships, and overall health and well-being.
Since COVID-19, research has shown that the need for mental health support has increased across Australia. This is why Edge has taken an important step in getting Dal, Edge’s Trainer, accredited as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor. After successfully completing her training in September, she is eager to run Mental Health First Aid courses for you or your organisation.
Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to assist people with mental health concerns, build confidence and provide information on offering informal support. Being accredited as a Mental Health First Aider can complement formal support services, like Employee Assistance Programs.
Edge offers the standard Mental Health First Aid course for $325 per person. The course runs over two days and will be offered every month on the following dates:
- 26-27 October 2021
- 9-10 November 2021
- 23-24 November 2021
- 14-15 December 2021
