Be Cool

With the support of the Edge Cockburn team, James has recently begun employment as a Warehouse Assistant at Be Cool Couriers. James is responsible for preparing truckloads of fresh fruit and vegetable to be distributed to other businesses for prepping and delivery.

Finding employment with Be Cool Couriers has provided James with a sense of independence and financial freedom. He is also gaining essential transferrable skills to thrive in any workplace and has increased his confidence in using public transport.

James is also busy studying horticulture at South Metropolitan TAFE. Horticulture is something he is very passionate about and James aspires to find a career in the horticulture industry.

As Edge Employer Consultant Bree (pictured above) has gotten to know James over his employment journey, she has been impressed with his hard work, out of the box thinking, reliability and motivation. James has a fantastic ambition to succeed in any task that is thrown his way.

James would like to share with other employers who may be thinking of hiring people with disability that, “Everyone is good at something and giving people a go is the best way to find the perfect employee.”
