Week 6- Behind the scenes

Week Six is always a highlight in Project Employment, our workplace preparation program for high school students, and this term was no exception.

Our Joondalup cohort kicked off the day with an engaging QR Hunt around the Joondalup Shopping Complex.

Afterwards, students gained a firsthand insight into various workplace environments, including a behind-the-scenes tour of Varsity Bar. From kitchen operations to cashier services and cleaning protocols, students observed the full scope of roles involved in running a hospitality venue.

Our Subiaco cohort began their day at The Regal Theatre, where they explored its rich history and discovered the wide range of roles required, from ushers to management. Next, they visited Scitech, where the students loved their exclusive tour. The final stop of the day was the Gentlemen’s Hair Lounge, where they gained knowledge about what roles are involved in a high-end grooming service.
