Seeds of hope

Jack is a recent graduate of Edge’s Charged Up for Work (CUFW) program, a current boarder at Christ Church Grammar School and comes from a farming family. After completing the seven-week work preparation component of the CUFW program, Jack is ready to develop his skills further with work experience opportunities or casual employment.

Known as a positive and creative Year 12 student and School Prefect, Jack also volunteers for Baker Boys, a group of students who bake goods to raise funds for different charities.

After one of their recent bake sales, the group invested some of their earnings to expand their business to selling coffee with the purchase of a coffee machine. This will allow Jack to put his newly acquired barista course skills to great use!

Jack would love to gain experience across different fields to explore other career possibilities so when he eventually returns to the family farm in Meckering, he can use his employment experience and skills.

With huge potential, Jack is ready for someone to assist him in further developing. Please reach out to Charged Up for Work team on 9286 6600 or email cufw.enquiries@edge.org.au if you can provide a work trial, work experience or know of any opportunities for Jack.
