Samuel hasn’t looked back

While completing work experience at Spudshed Joondalup, Samuel heard of the great experiences and support the four employed Edge clients had. Samuel reached out to Store Manager Rhory who helped him engage with Edge Account Manager Willem to access our employment support.

With Samuel now receiving Edge’s employment support, he was offered a role in the Stock Replenishment team and he hasn’t looked back since.

When we asked Samuel about Edge’s assistance, he replied, “Edge has provided me the confidence to work towards more independence and the ability to understand and complete tasks at a quicker pace, this will allow me to expand into different areas of the store and grow upon my success.

Edge has made me feel empowered and confident in my role, and have given me the ability to voice with confidence my short and long term goals. With Edge’s support, I know I will be able to achieve whatever I put my mind to.”

Like all jobs, a supportive manager makes a big difference. Rhory at Spudshed Joondalup has been helping Samuel excel in his role. “I love the supportive team and the variety of jobs I get to do. My manager is great and always checks in on me. I love the support Rhory gives me and he always makes me laugh.”

Store Manager Rhory has been impressed with Samuel’s charisma and drive. “Samuel has an amazing attitude and his motivation to improve is next to none. He is always smiling and gets along well with all team members.”

Employment has allowed Samuel to set bigger goals and has given him the ability to go on holidays that he can afford himself. We wish Samuel all the best in his role.
