Kiara’s Cuddly Animal Farm dream job

Kiara is one of the many Charged Up for Work (CUFW) students who have successfully completed their seven-week training program, and are now ready for employment and work experience opportunities. Kiara’s pathway in CUFW was to find work experience. She expressed a strong interest in animals, therefore we were eager to find a placement that would involve working with animals, whilst also allowing her to take on more responsibility and independence.

Therefore, Kiara was incredibly excited when she found out she was going to have the opportunity to do work experience at the Cuddly Animal Farm in the Swan Valley.

When she started, Kiara initially ensured the lunch areas were clean and tidy for visiting parents and children. She has since taken on additional responsibilities and is now preparing food for the animals. At the same time, she continues to grow in her role, developing great food preparation skills, and is constantly improving her skills each day. Kiara’s school and support network are extremely thankful for this opportunity because she loves her role, whilst being surrounded by the wonderful wildlife at the Cuddly Animal Farm.
