Have you got Christmas treats for ALL your family?

Another successful graduate of our Charged Up for Work program is Connor. After completing his work preparation training, Connor was encouraged to start his own business, Bark n Pawz. He makes and sells homemade pet treats for dogs, cats and horses. Connor originally sold his treats on Facebook but has since expanded to a café and service station in Bullsbrook.

Connor heard about the Charged Up for Work program at school last year and has since been working with Charged Up for Work Consultant Alan. “Alan encouraged me to set goals and work towards them.” Alan has also helped Connor with speaking to new people.

Alan is proud of how far Connor has come, “Seeing Connor’s dedication to following his dream through our encouraging conversations has been extremely rewarding. Watching the pursuit of his dream and persistence to run a successful business is something Connor and his family should be very proud of. As his Charged Up for Work Consultant, I know I am.”

Being able to work independently and with the help of his Mum Jo, has resulted in Connor’s confidence growing. His business venture has also helped him create new goals and interact in the community.

Perth is making a bid for the 2027 Special Olympics World Games which Connor has recently started training for. The Edge team wish him all the best with his swimming and bowling training. If you want to support Perth’s bid, please click here.
