Growing in confidence

Carpriece has been making impressive strides on her journey towards a career in early childhood education. With the ongoing support from her Edge Employer Consultant Serena, Carpriece has begun completing work experience at Sonas Early Learning & Care Gosnells.

After completing our Empowerment to Employment course, which provides a comprehensive approach to career development, Carpriece noticed a positive change in her mindset and wellbeing.

“I am more willing to give things a go. After doing the course, I feel better about things because it gave me things to work towards,” she shared.

As well as her role as an Early Childcare Assistant, Carpriece is also working towards her goal of achieving a Certificate III in Childhood Education.

Although starting in a new environment can be daunting, Carpriece has quickly found her rhythm and is now feeling more confident in her role. “I like that the training is nice and helpful. They are very encouraging towards me and help me no matter how many times I ask.”

Through the encouragement and support of her workplace and the Edge team, Carpriece is not only gaining valuable skills but also growing in confidence.
