Everything unlocked

Employment is truly life-changing, and Dario is experiencing this. Dario works as a Sales Assistant at Red Dot and is currently running the Currambine store, helping with customer service duties, stock replenishment and opening and closing of the store.

“Everything has been unlocked and I have stopped suppressing my dreams. I have financial freedom and independence,” said Dario in response to how employment has impacted his life.

Dario enjoys his job as he likes the dress-ups and themes at work as well as his colleagues and managers, “They are very supportive and like family, like a big sister. They give the tough love which pushes me to my full potential.”

Working closely with his Edge Job Coach Bhakti has helped boost his confidence and he has benefited from the moral support. “I feel positive and heard. I always feel supported and feel that Edge believes in me.”

As a positive, cheerful and hardworking individual, Dario has some advice for other job seekers, “Keep going, don’t give up. There is something out there for you even if it’s just a stepping stone. Persistence and patience pay off.”
