Decades of dedication

Jonita is a bit of a favourite around Edge, not just because she is an amazing member of the Edge team, but she has also been supported by Edge since registering in 1985, only one year after Edge was founded!

Registering as Edge’s 73rd client, Jonita’s hardworking and committed nature has been on display for the 38 years we have supported her.

At the forefront of what we do at Edge is ensuring we find meaningful opportunities and jobs for our clients. We want our clients to experience the power of employment and have their lives positively impacted. We don’t just find people a job so they can work, our team finds jobs that our clients will love, grow and thrive in.

One month after registering we found Jonita her first job and started supporting her in this role and several others over the next 18 years. In 2003, Edge itself had a job opening, Jonita was the perfect fit and she joined our team.

20 years on, Jonita is still smiling and bringing positivity to our team. She has been a great asset to our workforce and is someone we are all grateful to know.

When we asked Jonita about her experience of working for Edge and being supported by a Job Coach, she responded, “I love my work. Edge has helped me grow my skills and every Wednesday I sit with my Job Coach Kellie and practice my computer skills.”

“I enjoy being part of the team and working with the staff. I am happy to be here,” Jonita answered regarding what she loves about her job.

And we are happy to have helped Jonita on her journey over the last 38 years.
